Attorney Profile
Bio
After graduating from law school, James Mendez worked as a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney, where he prosecuted a broad range of criminal cases for ten years. As a result of this extensive experience as a Los Angeles prosecutor, he knows the ins and outs of the California criminal justice system and his vantage point is from both points of view. Based on his combined experience working as a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney, he is confident that if his client has a legal defense, he will find it.
Attorney Mendez is highly regarded throughout the legal community for being a skilled criminal defense lawyer, and to the extent that he has been featured on Fox Channel 11 News where he gave his legal opinion on a highly publicized murder trial involving a teenage victim and a teenage defendant accused of murdering him.
Attorney Mendez is a meticulous and aggressive attorney who is entirely committed to upholding his clients' legal rights from start to finish. He believes his clients are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and even if his clients have made a mistake, it doesn't mean the smallest technical detail can't provide a favorable outcome.
He sees his clients as people with jobs and loved ones depending upon them, not just another criminal in the revolving door of criminal cases. He takes the time to personally meet with each and every one of his clients; he carefully investigates each situation so that he can represent his client and provide them with the very best outcome possible.
He handles cases throughout Southern California including Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Kern, and San Diego Counties.
